I did my first scrappy border just this last week! They are fun. I also rolled mine. I thought it looked like candy after it was all rolled up. I like the 45 degree cut that you talk about. I didn't do that, but it makes sense. Thanks for sharing.

I had to chuckle. When I get done making binding, trimming the ears and pressing it, I always roll it into an oval shape! I have no idea why, but I like it that way so I do.

Great tutorial on the pieced bindings. I've been using them for years, but never took time to figure it all out...just cut and pieced till I had enough! You DO like the math part of quilts, don't you?!

And, I can pin and fuss, and usually STILL come up with a seam near a corner! Grr...hard to miter those, so have to go back and resew the seam.

But I LOVE the look.
