It had to be today because seriously... can anybody see me doing a Wordless Wednesday? A wordless Anyday?
And given the length of my post on Tuesday, I already did the Talking Tuesday thing.
Are you still hopping? You do remember that today is Day 3 of What A Novel Idea! Pat is showing up everywhere! She was a Guest Blogger for Moda Lissa of Moda Fabrics. And on Friday, she'll be over guesting on the Robert Kaufman blog -- the Swatch and Stitch.
Today is Thursday so don't miss Amanda and the sisters ~ aka Barb and Mary.
And then tomorrow - Friday - don't miss GE and EG. GEEG? Or Erin and Gudrun... EGGE! Just make sure you don't miss them.
I'm glad you liked the addition to my workroom. As much fun as George would be to look at and even listen to -- he's pretty funny -- the truth is that I like my peace and quiet when I'm working. So he could stay for a little while and then -- egad! -- I would actually prefer that he left me alone.
Have you seen these little stands for iPhones and iTouches?
I have been meaning to show these to you, they're from The Container Store. The bottom is a little rubber suction cup that will stick to the back of your iPhone, iPod or iTouch so that it will stand up at an angle. They're about $7.00... or something like that.
I got them last year because... well, I had this idea about an alternative use for them.
I use it as a little handle for my little rulers. I don't like those Gripper things, even the little one. But I liked the idea of it so when I saw these... I had one of those "aha" moments. It actually works pretty well.
There is a variation of this sort of device...
I wonder if Barb of Me and My Sister needs this... click to see why. This iPlunge is from Z Gallerie.
Speaking of iPhones... Have you ever heard of a company called Case-Mate? They make and sell cases for iPhones, iPads, iPods, Blackberrys and a dozen other smartphones. For some of the devices, you can order a custom case. I saw a little blurb about the company a month or so ago in House Beautiful magazine and I saved it -- in part because I loved the bird print on the custom case shown in the magazine.
I didn't have the bird image... and no, I didn't want George on my phone so I chose something else.
This arrived in the mail today.
This is Scarlett Queen, one of my new quilts. From when I placed the order, it took about ten days for the case to arrive.
The one thing to mention -- if I remember correctly, you need an image that is at least 1500 x 1500 big for it to wrap around the way its supposed to and not leave any blank spots. If your image isn't big enough, try re-sizing it. Depending on the image quality, you might be able to do that without losing any of the sharpness. The other neat thing is that after you upload the image to the website, you can rotate it and play around with the alignment. This is actually on the diagonal on the case. You will wind up being able to see what the finished case will look like before you order it.
That's it for today so go say Hi to Amanda and Barb and Mary.
And just in case I miss you before the weekend -- Happy Easter!

Very very cool!

A very, very cool Thursday Thoughts message. In fact it is very thoughtful. :) Scarlet Queen is breathtaking! I am in awe and can't wait to see the pattern. How imaginative to wrap your phone in a new quilt. Thank you for another great post. Love you, Carrie & Rosie. Gotta love the Rosie!

I'm looking forward to a big quilt reveal because the sneak peek on that iPhone cover was delish!
I use Decal Girls skins to cover my phone and all my i-trinkets. I have cherry blossoms on my iPod touch and blue swirls on my iPad. It just gives it a unique look that says - this is me!

Love Scarlett, and love red, so why wouldn't I??? I guess I would need one of those phones, as mine is so not tech saavy - just a talk/end sort of phone, but then I wouldn't need anything else - LOL!!! Can't wait to see the reveals - wondering on this Thursday, if I can ever get caught up!!!
