Ooops. I'm sorry about that. I had good intentions, and I had plans to be around last week. But life got a little busy. It was all good... but I was hoping for a little more "quiet".
I did get a little "pine-appling" done...
I did some of the other pine-appling too.
I finished two more rows - one Light and one Dark - after I took this picture. Only a few more rows to go and I'm done with the Alternating blocks. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll get this sewn together on Tuesday... I'll let you know how that goes. I'll also share more about what I'm doing with my blocks - how I made them, what I learned, the change I made to the ruler Instructions, etc. Yes, the blocks are slow-going and yes, they can be a bit tedious, but I'm still enjoying the process.
But it does have it's entertaining little drawbacks...
It's also been a bit of a revelation. I'm fairly organized. I wanted to be ready to do each row when I got to it... so I did a lot of cutting before I started sewing. I sorted my strips and kept them in boxes - my favorite little project boxes.
So I don't have the longer strips cut into short strips yet, that's easily done when the time comes.
Here's the problem... if I have my strips somewhat nearly sorted in boxes, why did my cutting table look like this on Sunday afternoon?
I can't wait to be finished so I can clean up - clear off! - this mess.
So I can start making a mess with this...
That's it for now... I have rows to sew and a mess to get to.
