That's my way of saying "this might actually be fairly quick".
Life here is fine - busy, hectic, a little topsy-turvy, but overall, pretty good. My Mom is having more good days than bad but she's still a bit weak and the onset of the heat hasn't helped. But a couple days' visit with my brother will put a spring in her step.
As for me...

FYI - When you're snipping the thorns off the stems of lemon leaves you clipped to put in with the roses you bought for your Mom, keep the tip of your finger away from the snippers.
It's a good thing I always have plenty of that NexCare bandage tape around. I didn't get the whole tip, I just sliced out a tiny sliver about 1/4" long by 1/8" wide. It bled a lot - too much information?
The good news is that it isn't going to keep me from heading off for a few days quilting retreat with some friends - I'll tell you about it when next week.
Wish me luck... I've still got nine more fingers and I put a new blade in my rotary cutter.
